I want to rant about my job a little bit, so here I go:
If you all remember, my job made some drastic changes to everything. I used to make really good money at my job.
When I picked up my pay stub on July 1, 2009 I was at a little over $20,000 gross earnings from January 1 thru June 30. Not bad right? I was on par to make $40,000 that year. Not bad for just a lonely old bill collector doing first party collections.
Well in July is when “corporate” made all those drastic changes. What did I end up with? $33,000. A reduction of $7,000 over 6 months from my pay. Eff.
I just grabbed my paystub for today’s paycheck. I added an extra paycheck on there based off my paycheck from the beginning of february’s check and what am I slated to make for the rest of the year? $26,000. EFFFFFFFF.
So I literally lost $14,000 a year in pay. They even have us working harder and to add insult to injury they try to justify it by insulting my intelligence.
The next rant is partly my fault and I feel horrible for it. My new puppy needs surgery =(
About a month ago I was taking him outside to go pee. I was holding him because he doesn’t always like going pee outside so I wanted to make sure he got out there.
I guess he just got so excited that he couldn’t contain himself and tried to leap out of my arms to go play in the grass. I tried to hold onto him, but I couldn’t. In the process of trying to hang on to him I knocked him off balance and he landed right on his back leg and onto his side. He screamed and whined and screamed for a good hour. I’m still heart broken typing about it.
Well yesterday he was sitting in my computer chair with my daughter watching ‘Transformers’ when he decided he either had enough or wanted to be like “Mojo” and jumped off the chair. Broke his leg.
I just found out that luckily he doesn’t need surgery, but the casting alone is going to cost us over $600. Stupid.
I just hope the little guy will be OK. He’s sooooo tiny and fragile.
